The Frank Coffyn Collection

The Empire State Aerosciences Museum of Glenville, N.Y. launched its interactive exhibit in celebration of the Wright Brothers' 100th anniversary of powered flight. This collection is different from the usual early aviation sites in that it tells the real life story of the people who helped introduce the airplane to America. You'll meet Frank Coffyn, "a pioneer aviator whose career began with the Wright Brothers and lasted through the jet age." You'll be introduced to the Wright Exhibition Team, "pilots trained by the Wright brothers, [a} bold and adventurous group [that] helped bring the airplane to the American people." Here's a site for flight enthusiasts, for historians, for everyone interested in the evolution of flight, quite an evolution from the Wright's successful first flight of 1903!
